WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

We hope almost nothing, our Eco cabin has soft towels and premium linen bedding. The kitchen has all the cookware you need to create a good meal, with a fire pit and grill outside for those summer BBQs.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANY FOOD?

We provide salt, pepper and olive oil. We also offer you the opportunity to pre-purchase local produce food hampers before your arrival such as celebration hampers, breakfast hampers, picnic and BBQ hampers.

WHAT TIME IS CHECK-IN/ CHECK-OUT?

We offer a leisurely check-out at 10.00am, and check-in is from 4.30pm- 7.30pm. Due to the remote location of the cabin and lack of external path lighting (for our local wildlife), we encourage you to arrive before darkness. Keep us updated if you are delayed on your journey to us.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

Yes, dogs are very welcome with us. Please let us know if you’re bringing a dog when booking, as we charge an additional £30 cleaning fee for dogs, which will be taken at the time of booking.This also includes a few doggy treats, please bring your own dog bed. There is a maximum of 2 dogs per stay.

Can i bring my kids?

The cabin is only for 2 adults or 1 adult.

DO THE CABINS HAVE ELECTRICITY?

The beauty of this cabin is that it is Off - Grid. All the electricity is run by solar panels. There are lights etc. and 2 USB sockets in the cabin designed for charging phones.

WIFI?

We don’t have WiFi at the lodge because we like to encourage you to switch off from the noise and notifications while you’re with us. The site does have good phone reception should you need to be online.

ARE THEre FLUSHING TOILETS? 

It has an off - grid toilet that functions like a regular loo. It’s certainly a loo with a view! Depending on your length of stay, a member of staff may need to empty the toilet for you.

CAN I DRIVE RIGHT UP TO THE Lodge?

The Lodge is set away from the road, to help fully immerse you in nature. Designated parking is available by the barn. It is just a short walk to the Eco cabin, a wheelbarrow is provided to help you with carrying your luggage.

DO I NEED A CAR TO GET THERE?

Cars are the easiest mode of transport. The nearest train station is Grindleford train station and in your welcome pack there is recommendations for taxi firms. Or you can take the bus to the small village of Hassop from the train station. Where you can then walk to Peak District Hideout.

WHAT’S THE COVID-19 CANCELLATION POLICY? 

What happens if you have to cancel your booking for any of the following reasons: 

You or a member of your party have a positive Covid-19 test.
You or a member of your party have to self-isolate due to contact with a Covid-19 sufferer.
You or a member of your party develop Covid-19 symptoms and are awaiting test results.
Your area is put into a localised lockdown - that means you will be breaking the law if you travel. 

If any of the above apply we will do our best to offer you alternative dates for your holiday. If that is not possible then the ‘Cancellation by You’ clause will apply found in the terms and conditions.

WHAT’S THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you cancel your holiday four weeks or more before your arrival date, we will refund your balance. Less a 20% admin fee and the £12 Greener Camping Club membership fee (which is non refundable). If you cancel your holiday less than four weeks before your arrival date and we are able to re-let your holiday for the dates you have booked, we will refund your balance, less a 20% admin fee. The Greener Camping Club membership fee is not refundable. In the event that we are unable re-let your dates, no refund will be made. Bookings are not transferable to another couple without our prior agreement in writing. If you are concerned about the prospect of cancellation, please take out your own holiday insurance.
